I chose purpose over pay. Here's what happened.
I started my career at a Big 4 firm. Good salary, prestigious name on the CV, the kind of job most people would tell you to stay in. I left anyway.
Growing up Muslim in the UK, money was never really talked about. Not in the mosque, not at home, not in ways that actually helped. I watched people in my community make expensive financial mistakes, not out of carelessness, but because nobody had ever sat down with them and explained how to do things properly while keeping their faith.
That felt like a gap worth filling. So I trained in Islamic finance, studied under Mufti Faraz Adam, joined IFG and helped grow its audience to millions — and started coaching people one to one.
I'm not a financial adviser. I'm a Muslim who has done the work, and I'll share it with you straight.
